The ACAF program is being discontinued. We are working with the Post Secondary Institutions for a smooth winddown of ACAF that ensures students are enabled to finish the program before one of the final ACAF National Examinations in September 2019, January 2020 or February 2021 or transition to an alternative course of study.

Transfer Credit Policy for the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance

CPA Ontario recognizes transfer credit courses awarded by approved post-secondary partners (above) toward completion of the program, subject to the application, administration and examination policies outlined in the ACAF National Examination Policies.

Recognition of transfer credits is based on official transcripts. Official transcripts must include:

  • The name(s) of all previous institutions attended where the transfer credit was completed; and
  • The course code(s), course name(s), year(s)/term(s), and final grade(s) earned at previous academic institutions where the transfer credit was completed.

If the official transcripts do not show the above information, applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all previously attended PSI(s) where the transfer credits were completed. In addition, a transfer credit letter from the Registrar’s Office of the PSI(s), showing the above information will need to be mailed to CPA Ontario for review.
