Daniela Carcasole, CPA, CA
Secretary, CPA Ontario Council

CPA Ontario is continuing to build on its recent governance enhancements. The election process helps identify candidates with skills and attributes that will bring additional breadth and scope to Council’s current skill set and enhance its ability to provide strategic, forward-looking leadership and guidance. Those candidates whose skills and attributes align with these objectives will be identified by Council. We believe that by taking a considered and strategic approach to the Council election process, we are able to best protect the public interest.

Lasting change can only happen if we all take action to address systemic racism and structural inequality, while creating opportunities for underrepresented communities. As such, we support Council candidates who are Indigenous peoples, racialized persons, women, 2SLGBTQ+ persons and persons with disabilities. We also support candidates from small to medium sized firms and from smaller regions in Ontario beyond the Greater Toronto Area.
